Last Chance for Christmas Light Recycling Until Next Year
Jackson, MI (PRWEB) January 15, 2008 -- HolidayLEDs.com, an online retailer of LED Christmas and decorative lighting, is wrapping up its first annual Christmas light recycling program. The program will conclude on January 31, 2008.
"The participation has really been outstanding--we didn't anticipate this kind of response," said Philip C. Curtis, co-owner of HolidayLEDs.com. The program was created this fall in response to customer inquiry about recycling old incandescent Christmas lights (http://www.holidayleds.com). "I'm sure we will do it again next year," Curtis added.
Anyone interested in recycling their old holiday lights (http://www.holidayleds.com) must send them to HolidayLEDs.com no later than January 31, 2008. "We know there are a lot of people out there that haven't taken their lights down yet and we want them to know there is still time to participate in the program," said Curtis. Curtis estimates that it has receive over 2 tons of lights so far for recycling.
HolidayLEDs.com reminds participants to send the Christmas tree lights (http://www.holidayleds.com) only and not to include any packaging material. All participants will receive a coupon for 10% off any purchase at HolidayLEDs.com. Participants should mail their Christmas lights to:
HolidayLEDs.com Attn: Recycling Program 120 W. Michigan Avenue, Suite 1403 Jackson, MI 49201
Please visit www.holidayleds.com for more information about LED Christmas lights or the HolidayLEDs.com recycling program.

Ghosts of Christmas past, present and future: How Christmas has changed over the years Contrary to what you might think when listening to older relatives recount stories of past Christmases - you know the ones, where they tell you about the good old days and explain that things are not quite like what they used to be - the festive season has indeed changed. Things are not the way they used to be, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. After all, wouldn't it be terrible if things always stayed the same?
